Almost all digital cameras have to store photos in compact storage devices like memory cards, compact flash cards, SD cards, etc. Some low priced cameras use internal memory to store photos, but storage capacity of internal memory is very low. You can save only 20-25 photos over internal memory. If your cameras internal memory becomes full then you cannot able to take new photos unless you delete some old photos from the internal memory. So, to avoid this limitation, removable memory cards are used to store large number of pictures. If your digital cameras memory becomes full of photos then you can insert new removable memory card to store new photos.
